Color You Beautiful

Have you ever had trouble conveying to vendors the exact colors you want incorporated into your wedding?  Pantone, the company that standardizes color for design use, has made it easier than ever to show your vendors the exact colors that you want.  They have a handy color swatch book, arranged by color family to quickly find your best color combinations.  Pantone has partnered with the Dessy Group to make bridesmaids and flower girl dresses, men’s ties and even flip-flops in their standardized colors. Use their fabulous website to create your own Inspiration Board with any colors you choose!  Below is one I whipped up in just a few minutes, but with all the options on the site, you could be inspired for hours.  Check our the gallery for style boards that other users have made.  What are your favorite color combinations?

Bridal Boudoir

Looking for a present to give your groom-to-be?  Boudoir photos are a fun, flirty and memorable way to give your groom a glimpse into your private domain.   He won’t soon forget these intimate photos that truly capture your essence and personality.  Your photographs will tastefully showcase you in lingerie or the scantily clad ensemble of your choosing in a boudoir or bedroom setting.

Due to the delicate nature of these photos it is normal to feel a little nervous about your session.  The most important thing is to feel completely comfortable with your photographer, be sure to meet them in person before booking a session so you can get a feel for who they are as a person and an artist. You should feel empowered and sexy in your skin during a boudoir session.  Don’t stress about having the perfect body, the photographer knows how to capture the female form and make you look fabulous.  The more comfortable you are in your own skin, the sexier and natural you will look in the photographs.  Remember this day should be a treat for you too!  A glass of champagne before your session feels celebratory and will help you loosen up, so pop open the bubbly and have fun with it!

Letterpress Love

We love letterpress.  From Holiday cards to desktop calendars, there isn’t a form of letterpress that we haven’t fallen for. Because it is time and labor-intensive letterpress has become an art form that surprisingly few people know much about.  Once the most common method of printing, letterpress is a form printing where ink is applied to movable type and then pressed onto a surface to create an imprinted copy.  Due to the specialized nature of letterpress the cost is typically higher than standard printed invitations.  If you have it in your budget to splurge on invitations, the tactile feel of letterpress correspondence is sure to impress your guests whether they are letterpress nuts or neophytes.

If you love the letterpress invitations and save the date cards above, they are available right in our boutique!  Posh Papers can find you the letterpress invitations that fit your style aesthetic and budget.
