The New Cupcake

Cupcakes are everywhere.  Once a unique addition to your wedding, having a cupcake tower instead of the traditional wedding cake has now become ubiquitous.  While cupcakes are still adorable and creative, they are no longer an original addition to your wedding.  Macaroons are poised to become the next big wedding dessert.  Macaroons are said to have originated in Italy, but are most closely identified as a French confection.  These delicate and colorful treats are two meringue based cookies sandwiched together with a cream filling.  Crisp and smooth on the outside yet simultaneously chewy, light and airy, the macaroon is a delectable treat.  These almond cookies come in a myriad of flavors and colors and are a chic alternative to the cupcake tower or traditional wedding cake.
