Swank Stems, Award Winning Floral Design!

Congratulations to the talented and gracious Nicole Iverson of Swank Stems for winning “Best Event Design / Décor with a Budget of over $25,000” at the second annual International Special Event Society, or ISES, Denver IDEA Awards.

Her elegant design was for a private Christmas party held in December 2009. The untraditional color palate allowed her design to subtly imply winter wonderland. Rich jewel tones and glitzy accents transformed the room into a unique and warm holiday space.

Stella and Dot Bridal Boutique

One of our favorite Jewelry companies, Stella and Dot is launching a collection of Bridal pieces!  Founder and CEO of Stella and Dot Jessica Herrin has a background in the wedding industry as the co-founder of the Wedding Channel, a leading wedding website.  The bridal pieces are not only beautiful, but affordable as well!  Here are some of our favorite pieces from the new Bridal Boutique:

The Heirloom Deco Bracelet looks like a classic piece that you picked up at a vintage jewelry store.  We love the unique design!

Pearls en masse are a way to provide some visual drama.  The Sophia Pearl Bib Necklace is a statement piece that is effortlessly chic.

Lariat necklaces give you the ability to add your personal style to your jewelry.  The Josephine Pearl Lariat necklace can be worn any number of ways and would look great with a wedding gown or white tee.

If love these pieces and would like to place an order or if you're interested in hosting a trunk show please contact stylist Hava Kishinevsky.

        Favor of Love

You want your wedding to be as unique as you are.  Every detail from the flowers to the shoes you wear can be representative of your personality.  You are throwing the party of a lifetime for your friends and family and want them to remember your special day with fondness as well as admiration.  Wedding favors are the parting gift given to your guests, a thank you for being a part of your special day.  According to The Wedding Book, wedding favors are "designed to spread the happy couple's good fortune to their guests."

Favors can be extravagant as you want them to be!  If you don't want to spend too much on the favors, consider something you can make yourself!  Something personal such as your favorite cookies with recipe cards or even donations in lieu of individual favors are always appropriate.

What favors have been memorable at weddings you have attended?

From cookies emblazoned with your monogram as a couple to a tower of boxes filled with each of your favorite candy, It's a Gift by Lisa can help you find the perfect wedding favors!

        Letterpress Love

We love letterpress.  From Holiday cards to desktop calendars, there isn’t a form of letterpress that we haven’t fallen for. Because it is time and labor-intensive letterpress has become an art form that surprisingly few people know much about.  Once the most common method of printing, letterpress is a form printing where ink is applied to movable type and then pressed onto a surface to create an imprinted copy.  Due to the specialized nature of letterpress the cost is typically higher than standard printed invitations.  If you have it in your budget to splurge on invitations, the tactile feel of letterpress correspondence is sure to impress your guests whether they are letterpress nuts or neophytes.

If you love the letterpress invitations and save the date cards above, they are available right in our boutique!  Posh Papers can find you the letterpress invitations that fit your style aesthetic and budget.
